  • Program Description : Maintaining wellness is a vital role as we grow older, and we face many barriers to stay active and healthy. Nurses are working beyond their retirement age and faced with the physical and cognitive challenges related to aging. This program will focus on strategies in bridging the gap towards healthy aging and wellness promotion.
Learning Objectives: At the end of this program, the participants will be able to:

1. Describe the physiology of aging.
2. Discuss how aging will affect healthcare in global environment.
3. Identify the 3 D's of aging and describe the nursing care of patients with Dementia, Depression and Delirium
4. Discuss the key strategies in promoting wellness in older adults. 
5. Identify the different challenges of the aging nursing workforce in their workplace.
6. Describe the strategies of the healthcare organization in fostering a healthy work          environment for their aging nursing workforce.
